March Recipe: Orange Marmalade
4 large oranges
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons of cornstarch
2 cups water
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Peel oranges, making sure to save all parts. Slice oranges in half and cut peels into thin strips.
Add cut peel strips to saucepan and add just enough water so that they are covered. Boil, then repeat process two more times. (This will help reduce the bitterness of the orange rind.)
Begin heating 2 cups of water in a saucepan.
When water begins boiling, add oranges and cooked orange peels.
Boil for one hour, then add corn starch, cinnamon, and sugar.
